I went out fishing yesterday with a friend and he took me on a river which was very stained.  I don't think there was even a foot of visibility anywhere we went.  He says it's generally like this.

What has worked for you guys/gals in water this stained?

Personally black and blue is my go to in stained/muddy water.  Also larger baits in this color range helps, slowing down helps and anything that gives off allot of vibration like a chatterbait helps.

You need something to push a lot of water. My first preference would be a Chatterbait jig, swimming it along the bottom. Lots of other good ones as well.
