For Those Who Didn't Know

Featured Replies

For those of you that didn't know, I recently teamed with Siebert Outdoors.

Here is one of the first jigs that they have made for me.

It is called the Bloody Shad Swim Jig. (Silver/White with Red)

It is not available on their site yet but I am sure it will be soon and you can probably shoot

them an email or a message on here to get your orders in early.

Here is what it looks like laying on the deck of my boat with a Yamamoto Swim Senko trailer.

I can tell you that it works great and comes through weeds/grass really well too.

For those not familar with a Swim Jig, I fish them very much like a crankbait but they don't get hung up as often.

Thats a great looking jig!!  I have a spinnerbait that is pretty close to the same color and it is by far my best one.

I might have to sweet talk the wife into letting me get a few of these ordered soon.

The fish were loving it the other day when I was out that's for sure.

Btw: That is a 4" Swim Senko I used as a trailer, not a 5" in case anyone was wondering.

I have never used a swim jig and was thinking of trying a few out this year. I love the quality and customer service with siebert jigs, so I will go through them for sure. Like I said I am new to swim jigs, I was wondering what weight is a good all around weight as well as color? Thanks in advance.

That is a great idea for a lure.  Combines my 2nd and 3rd favorite ways to fish for bass.  Hopefully they have some alternate colors when they roll them out?

If I had only choose 1 weight it would be 1/2 ounce. But they are like everything else, they come in all kinds of different weights. I am sure there are people that prefer all the difference sizes but if I could only have one it would be 1/2 ounce.

Madperry - They come in several colors and they work. This is just a color that works really well.

Love the swim jigs. One of my go to baits. They always produce. I like bluegill and perch colors.

Awesome! I have a big order coming from there soon!  I didn't pick up any swim jigs. Fathers Day is around the corner though!

I make all my own stuff, and I like that.  I believe I would add red flake to the swim jig to finish it off.  But a very

nice looking bait  for sure.

Thanks to this board I've started to try these out. Like JT said, you can work it like a crank and not get hung up.

Booyah makes some good ones for cheap. That head slides through the rough stuff with ease. Pretty good hook too.
