Cast, jerk, jerk, pause, jerk, jerk, jerk pause... set hook, reel fish in, take fish off, repeat sequence.

Theres no science to it... watch alot of the videos, read what you can, and cast that thing and experiment with it.

The Bassresource video above is a great one!!

Look in the upper right hand corner for the search box.  Type in flukes and hit search. Should be enough info there to keep you busy reading for awhile.

weightless texas rigged drapped over lillies and casted deep into brush has always worked for me. good luck.

I love flukes. I fish them just below the surface with a color I can see underwater, usualy pearl. I use a 4/0 or 5/0 hook with a screw that I can twist into the nose of the fluke. I find this helps the fluke from sliding and losing its action. Like other guys said jerk, jerk pause. My most recent discovery was the double fluke rig. I like to toss if everywhere in the shallows.

Rig them weightless and fish them like teal recommended, if that don't work then play around. I found the other day keeping them up on top, and almost steady retrieve would draw strikes. sometimes dragging bottom, sometimes just a big sweep and long pause does the trick.

If you like a steady retrieve check out the swimming fluke. I has a paddle tail.
