P-Line Floroclear Knot

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I just spooled up some rods with everywhere from 8 to 15 pound test FloroClear. What is every ones preference on what type of knot to use? Also, can I tie a Palomar knot with FloroClear?

Thanks for the help

Love this line! If I am tying a bare shank hook, I snell it. If it is a jig, or other lure, usually a Palomar.

Just be sure to wet the line with saliva, cinch it down well, and give it a good pull to make sure it doesn't slip.

Never used it but I assume it's a floro line, hence the name...If it is I use the San Diego Jam knot for all lines except braid.

I have it on one rod and like it so far no issues yet I tie a palomer with it

I use the clinch knot with flouroclear, never have problems...

I have Yo-Zuri which is also a copolymer and I use the San Diego jam without any issues, just make sure you lube it good when cinching it down.

I use 15lb p-line fluoro and use the palomar knot..never hard any issues

I use an ordinary clinch knot with any mono or copoly line (floroclear being one of them), when targeting larger more aggressive fish I'll use an improved clinch.  The key is just to tie it correctly and don't fish if it isn't.

Palamor Knot will work.

When chinchnig down pull tag line first and then both lines together after you have wet both.

Leave about an 1/8 to 1

...an 1/8 to a 1/4 tag.

Thanks for the help guys.

I like using the Eugene Bend Knot and it works good with mon, fluro and braid ( also you can tell its tiednproperly by the pop it makes when you tighten it. Also another really good knot is the Improved Reverse Clinch Knot is nice and just like the regular Clinch or Improved Clinch its pretty much fail proof also (

(As with any kmot tie them all properly and you'll be fine.)

Good Luck & Keep Them Lines Tight !

Tie a uni knot just double the line and you're good to GO (works flawless with any line)
