sounds like every other coon ive seen lol one used to sleep in the tree in my backyard along with a opposum...we used to trap them when i did condo maint but here when you trap them you cant transport them unless you have a license so instead of paying a $20k fine we had to put them in a trash can full of water

Am I the only one that thinks this is messed up?  Hunting is one thing but why would you just drown them?  I get that you were working maintenance and it was your job and all but there has to be a better way.

there is a better way but you have to be licensed to relocate them here and its not so easy to get the license....i thought it was messed up too but i dont have the 20k sitting around to pay a fine if i got caught lol...cant shoot guns in the city i worked either so was either that or take a chance on getting bit and catching whatever they have (and they carry lots and lots of diseases etc)

I hear ya.  20k is a heck of a fine and you were just trying to do your job.  Still feel bad for the raccoon though.  Sometimes I can get a little hippy-ish when it comes to animals.

Had a big old fat coon eating my cats food on our patio last night. Filthy critter stealing from my cat. I turned the fiest loose on it when I saw it. Dang coon barely beat that dog to the tree. If it had been later in the night I would have shot him outta the tree. Not supposed to be shooting within the city anyway. So it probably was a good thing I didn't.

Now that I just thought about it. That's what I got a bow for too!

I'm be waiting on his ring tailed self tonight!

I wouldn't be too concerned, raccoons are harmless unless he had a rifle with a scope on it.  Then, maybe I'd worry.

Mr. Ringtail returned last night. I launched a mechanical broad head at him from my upstairs window as he hopped the fence. I fricking missed by an inch or less. Never seen a coon run that fast before. I'm gonna be waiting on his furry butt again tonight.
