What are the best lures for blue gill in small ponds

Beetle spins, small tube or flys ansd try bread

A swim jig and a trailer to match. I used a 1/2 oz Siebert grass jig with a RI skinny dipper in green shad. I had an excellent 3 hours last weekend.

I have been having pretty good luck with the yellow/black Rebel cricket

Depends on the pond I suppose. lol We catch them on KVD 1.0 and 1/8oz Mini Kings

Small foam poppers with a float a few feet up the line to add some weight to cast.

rooster tail, BPS XTS mini Minnow cranks, Strike King mini cranks

small rebel pop-rs, crickhoppers, bumblebees etc.

live worms, mummy worms, live or dried crickets

But what I use the most with my kids are Berkley crappie nibbles with a bobber.

Nightcrawlers, but I have caught the 1 pound pumpkinseeds in my local pond on KVD 1.5's, 5" finesse worms, and 3.5" tubes, even a rage craw! The things are so vicious.

Gulp grubs work great. No need for live bait, they catch just as many. They come in a little jar and there has to be 500+ in a jar.

I use a corn kernel on a small hook. They will nibble at it, but eventually one will try swallowing the whole thing.

Swing and a miss...

I only fly fish for gills myself but my girlfriend tears them up on crickets, mepps, and beetle spins.

Wow you must have world record Bluegills in that lake LOL

Oops! All these tornados around here must've scrambled my brain! Lol. Ahem....

Inline spinners. Is that better?

Any of the small rebel crankbaits absolutely destroy the gills out here and youll catch a few bass on em too
