Looking for something that is lightweight...I tend to run hot and sweat easily. I am looking for something that is lightweight, absolutely waterproof, and completely breathable...if that exists?

 

Please share what works for you.

Im using the light weight frog tog rain suits and they work very well. I come out completely dry and dont seem to sweat any more than i already would (pretty good bit)

I'm in the market for some new rain gear as well. My arms always get really sweaty, so breathability is a must. Seems like the ones with two layers of fabric in the sleeves always make me sweat. A tuckable or removable hood would also be good. Would love to hear your suggestions (trying not to hijack, OP).

I prefer Cabela's guidewear, which is Gore-Tex.

Frogg Toggs are the best really lightweight raingear I've ever used. I've got a Cabela's Guidewear suit and a BPS 100MPH suit, both are great, but I wouldn't consider either of them to be lightweight. Plus you're looking at over $400 for a suit for either of those versus around $50 for a set of Frogg Toggs. 

To echo Bluebasser 86, for lightweight summer rain gear, it is tough to beat Frogg Toggs.   I've got a set of Guide Wear and a lighter duty set of gore tex as well, but they are a little heavy for summer.  Can't beat Frogg Toggs for summer rains.

Another vote for Frogg Toggs. I have had a set going on 5 years now and they have always kept me dry.

Walmart has a Frog Togs suit that the wife bought for $29. Very light weight and works well.

Well, one consideration on Frog Toggs - their bib style pants don't include a front zipper.  That can be pretty inconvenient if ya gotta go, so I recommend the regular pants style.  I really like the performance and the price on Frog Toggs, it's hard to beat.  Cheap enough that I keep an extra set in the boat for guests, just in case.

I also use frogg toggs I use the bull frog line around $70 for the jacket and pants. Here in Fl its usually in the 80's and raining.

Yeah but alot of times I would be sweating with out wearing them. They are alot cooler then regular rain gear but when it its cool out they wont do much to keep you warm. I have another set of heavy rain gear for the cooler months. Frogg toggs are pretty much the standard down here when we get summer showers.

Thanks. I am looking for something that will keep the rain showers off, without leaving me with that "clammy" sweaty feeling on the inside. I understand when it is 80 degrees, I am going to sweat, but when it is 70 or even 60 degrees, my current rain gear still leaves me with that feeling.
