Hi folks. I'm a new member from italy, fairly new to spinning and casting (have only been doing it for 3 years) so what better place than this forum to improve myself?

Anyway, time for the real question.

One of my local fishing shop has a special offer on all yo-zuri and Duel lures. 3 for 15€. They have a great selection, zombie series, three dimension, magnet, hardcore, etc. I already bought a zombie shad, a LB-90sp hardcore and some snap beans. Haven't had a chance to test them yet, but they look great.

Now, my question is: why aren't yo-zuri and duel discussed more on the internet? It's like people don't really care about 'em, or is it just my imagination?

Could you guys recommend me some good yo-zuri/duel lures? Also, is the cobra x-tex line worth it?

Here in florida, most of the time I see yo-zuri it is associated with saltwater fishing. I haven't seen duel before until you mentioned it. Most of these lures aren't created with bass fishing in mind, the colors and designs are based for salt water species. Now my buddy has a gold floating yozuri that he has been using with good success in our local ponds for bass. They work, people just tend to use more tried and true bass lures.

While they are famous for their saltwater lures, both brands have a lot of freshwater-specific lures.

I only had a chance to cast them a few times now and they have an amazing action

I love the Yo-Zuri rattle baits but they are expensive

Yo-Zuri jerkbaits and rattle baits work good, would like to see the them bring back the Hardcore Drum.

Like mentioned before, Yo-zuri and Duel are mostly associated with saltwater, and are well respected. Most of the lures I use for saltwater are Yo-zuri. The problem I think is that most stores in the states carry only the saltwater lineup. THe only time I seen the freshwater lures are in specialty bass tackle shops.

Yes but none of these on the link are from their Shashimi freshwater series, Duel also offers a nice freshwater series.

I have to second what powerduster said, most places only sell the saltwater series baits which sometimes have limited fresh water color choices. I am sure some of these will work in freshwater but they have dedicated freshwater series that are diffcult to find, which would explain why most bass fishermen don't use them. Most bass fisherman don't troll through to the saltwater section for their hardbaits...Am I right?

 

They have really nice baits, the one my buudy has and the ones I have seen are great, but it is too bad the freshwater baits are not more available/known.

Same thing localy. I love Yo-Zuri jerbaits and lipless baits but they can be hard to find in stores.

I have a large stash of 2 of their discontiued poppers, the ZZ Pop and the Pop N' Splash. My favorite topwater baits for smallmouth on the river. I won't stop buying them on Ebay until I have a lifetime supply. I have about 30 of the ZZ pop and 15+ or so of the Pop N' Splash, so I' m pretty close I think. LOL
