Jig And Trailer Color ?

Featured Replies

Just curious how important it is to match jig and trailer colors together. For example if I'm using a black and blue jig should I always use a black and blue trailer? Would it be ok to let's say use a green pumpkin jig and a junebug trailer? Thanks in advance for any info.

I usually "match the hatch" on my trailers, but don't be afraid to try something new.

For example, yesterday I was using bluegill swim jig with pearl trailer and worked pretty darn well.

Black and blue jig with junebug trailer is deadly sometimes!  Don't be afraid to experiment!

Usually people match the trailer to the jig. But people discover new things every day. Until a couple of years ago, the umbrella rig was just used in saltwater fishing. Look where it is now.! Try something new... Your idea could be the next national sensation.
