  1. My biggest problem when I first started, is that I forgot to check the hook point constantly. It seems like a simple thing, but it makes a big difference.
  2. Spinnerbait for sure.

I don't know how long you have been tying jigs. But from my own experience, the first jig I tied looks totally different than the ones I tie now. I think the only difference is their experience. Then again, I don't know how long you have been tying.
  4. I would think so... unless the pond has recently been stocked. When ponds are stocked, tons of fish are put into it.
  5. That's crazy
  6. Get a longer rod than a 6'3". I'd lok for a 7' or a 7'3". Excellent rods.
  7. I recently started using a dropshot. To be honest I thought it was a bunch of BS. Turns out, it catches fish. Hm
  8. "YES SIR" "There he is" "WHOOOH!" "Oh my" Sometimes, just for fun, I act like I set the hook like I'm deep sea fishing. Even though its just a regular hook set.
  9. PB&J colored jig. AMAZING
  10. One time, my friend was fishing from the front of the boat, and his line snapped while he was setting a hook. I felt bad because I thought he lost it. When the line snapped, it state on top of the water, and when he grabbed the bundle of line there was a 7.5#
  11. Buzzbait all the way
  12. I have recently started tying jigs. I have Todd a couple, but I am having trouble with color combinations. I get my stuff from fishingskirts.com. Does anyone else, that buys their stuff from fishingskirts.com, know any good combinations? Please don't just say "black and blue". If you can, please say the actual color.
  13. The mojo rig helps me when I'm in grass. It move through the thickest stuff flawlessly
  14. I like Power Pro. I used spiderwire a few times, but it's almost like using dental floss
  15. Berkeley havoc Pit Boss. Use them as trailors, t-rig, c-rig, or anything else you can think of.
  16. Don't try anything technical. Try something basic like a C-rig or a T-rig. Keep it basic. Good luck
  17. I think 7' is always a good all around rod for cranking.
  18. 3/8oz arkie head jig. Doesn't catch a lot of fish, but it catches some big ones
  19. I always catch the most fish on a T-rigged zoom lizard. The bass love em
  20. I'd suggest something like a crankbait or T-rig. Jigs are tricky, you have to know what to feel for and what not to feel for. Choose something you think you would like to do. Just stick with it until you master it. One at a time.
  21. Just chill out. Simple as that. Fishing is fun and relaxing. Enjoy it. Just have fun and keep it chill.
