I Have been wake boarding etc last few years at Pickwick with the family. Decided to get a Ranger 520vx to occupy my time while the family sleeps in. It has been 15 years since I had a bass boat and was fishing. Just posting up see how many people are on here that fish pickwick regularly. I have been soaking up all I can and trying to learn by putting in time. I have been out with a guide couple times but cant stand much of that at $300 a trip. Any tips or pointers are appreciated. Trying to keep my 11 year old interested by putting him on some fish and we have had pretty good start. Most importantly having fun. I will be on vacation from this saturday through the 4th and plan to stay there the whole time in the yellow creek area. Thanks for any replies

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, I mainly only fish during the week at Pickwick.  Too many wake boarders and jet skiers!!!!  But I fish there pretty regularly the rest of the year.  Love the place.  It has been one of my best years there for numbers, but not size.  Have fun and be safe!  You will notice a huge difference from the weekends to the weekdays as far as traffic and pressure!

The ledges are producing both size and numbers.

Ledges. I have been having a lot of luck with carolina rigged baby brush hogs as well as Biffle Bugs.
