Saw a YouTube clip with a guy using this rig, and the action looked good. Seemed to make sense. Anybody catch fish using this rig?

I wrote a In-Fisherman article back in 1986 and included the Matty jig, a swim jig with #2 Colorade blade on a swivel as a jig trailer!

I've tried it. I get a lot of short strikes. My guess is that they're hitting the blade. Maybe it's just me...

The MJ Rig ... deadly.  I have a small kit with gold and silver willow and colorado blades just for this.
