Yea I like the movement of it. I don't crank that often but a few times I break it out when nothing else is working I have caught fish on it, I only have 1 in my tackle box

all the reviews ive read on it claim it rolls way to much

it rolls alot but its a really good cold water bait so its maid to fish slow i like to slowly reel it to give it that awesome action .

I think it's one of the most over-hyped baits. It still catches fish but no where is it changing the game of crankbaiting like they claimed.

I like the scatter rap but it is definitely a differnet crankbait and cannot be used like the majority of hte normal styles.  I have found it works well over flats and points without a ton of vegetation as the weedless properties just aren't as good.  I have a couple of them and they work well and i will continue to throw them.  I do think they will be a good river bait and if this rain ever stops i may have a chance to validate my theory.

I mostly throw them on transition areas like flyfisher is suggesting. A little grass here and there where it opens up to a more open piece of water. Just my experience with it anyway. Caught some nice fish on it

Mine roll way too much on me.  Even tweaking it doesn't keep it from going back to the roll.  I have to fish it so slow in order to keep it from rolling that it looks lame to me.  Nothing like the action I am seeing hyped by Rapala.  Very disappointed thus far.

I've done well with mine and never had a problem with it rolling or being difficult to cast like others I've heard complaining about them. It is a wood bait though so maybe I just got lucky and got a good one. I know the smallmouth about jerk the rod out of my hand when they hit it. 

I have fished one in the black and silver since they came out but yet have to catch a fish on one.  This is surprising to me since the orginal Shad Rap still catches fish for me.  As others have said I think it rolls to much also and this may be the reason I have yet to hang a fish on one.

If you're having trouble casting it, use a couple suspend strips or dots. Adds a little weight to help with casting, helps it get down deeper, seems to help with the rolling, but does not stop it from floating like it is supposed to.

 

Been throwing it more often lately and it has been producing bites when I wasn't catching them on any other moving baits. Try to shy away from the usual (Black/silver) and try things like Caribbean Shad or Helsinki Shad.

 

I originally bought mine on clearance, but considering how they've been getting hit, I will pay regular price to replace them when I loose them.
