I don't know why, but this morning I thought I might be able to get a little bit of shore fishing done out at Bull Run Marina.  Holy water levels, batman.  Couldn't find any place to cast out.  It looks like it has a lot of opportunity for shore fishing when the levels are normal... will have to try again another day.  

There are. There are also trails across the street in the big parking lot. Across the street from the parking lot is also a gravel road that you can drive down for access. Also can go muddng there. I am going out on the boat at 3:oo if you want to come.

How much is it to get a key to the gate?

You have to buy the launch pass to purchase the key. All told about $120. Pass is good at FH, Bull Run Algonkian, Pohick. A little less if you don't want Pohick!

Can you just pay a daily launch fee Quanjig?

Pretty sure its unmanned so you have to have a key.

I can confirm I just paid $55 for key and pass to the Marina. Any tips on areas to fish near the marina. Have a canoe and trolling motor so any help is appreciated.

Turn right, go upstream and explore. Lots of stuff to fish that way and the possibility of a nice smallie!!

Thats correct. Open sunup to dusk. Park says closed at dusk. Not sure how much they enforce that. We go in at around 0545 and take our time getting in. By that time its time for sunrise. Normally nobody there until we pushoff.
