Knocking Caster

Featured Replies

I noticed i can feel a slight knocking in my my bps pq when i get the line wet. I can toss lead weights out all day in the backyard and it reels fine.  But after a couple casts into the water i start to feel it knocking. Is this normal? If it matters im running 12lb stren mono.

Nope, shouldn't be happening. Send it to DVT to take care of it and have him supertune it while he has it. You'll get it back better than new!

There's something else in play here but it's almost impossible to diagnose without seeing and handling the reel. The PQ does respond really well to a good cleaning and/or tuning.
