Flipping And Pitching Rod?

Featured Replies

Im looking to buy a decent quality casting rod for flipping and pitching, i don't want to go over 100, but i want a quality rod, any suggestions or people interested in selling anything?

I use the 7'2 shimano clarus heavy worm and jig rod and let me tell you it's a stick! Great tip and great backbone

For that price I'd go with the 7'6" medium heavy veritas they feel like a heavy powered rod though

I picked up a Daiwa Ballistic(7' 3") worm/jig rod at close out price from TW. Heck of a rod for under $70!! Paired it with a Lexa 100 and I'm a happy fisher!

The Abu Garcia Veritas rods are extremely light weight and sensitive. There are a lot of features that are built into these rods that make them very light weight and sensitive. One of the features is the Abu designed extreme exposure reel seat which provides direct finger to rod contact for increased sensitivity. Take a look at the different models they provide I think you'll like them.  http://www.abugarcia.com/products/rods/veritas

I can't recommend something under $100. If you can spend a little more, I'd HIGHLY recommend a Falcon Bucoo 7'3 medhvy. I'm presonally not a fan of 7'11" flippin' sticks.

Save your money for a little longer and go with a 7ft hvy duckett. It will double as a flipping rod and a great frog rod.
