How do you fish these with the most success?  What size hook do you typically use?

Assuming you mean regular curl tail worms I usually go with a 5/0 or 7/0 hook and a 1/4 to 1/2 oz weight depending on wind and depth. I almost always Trig them but they can be great on a Crig too. 

I tried the 12" culprit worms in black shad. I used a 4/0 hook and installed a worm rattle and a shot of baitmate worm & crawler scent. On my very first cast I caught a 13" pickerel. What was he thinking striking a 12" worm. I casted it with no weight. And worked it parallel to shore. He actually hit it as I was reeling it in slow. I still believe in big bait big fish but the smaller fish like big baits too. Don't give up when the

smaller fish interrupt you. Keep trying I notice the bigger fish will come by to see what the smaller fish are doing. If the smaller bite slows down the bigger fish are nearby. If they don't strike change the worm to a different color or size till they strike.

I'm fond of Yum's 10 1/2" straight tailed "Mightee Worm". I usually rig it on a 1/4 oz. football head, shakey style. Not sure of the hook size on these jigs, but it's probably a 4/0 or 5/0. These were custom made for me out of bismuth, as lead is now banned in MA. These large worms do work. Can be challenging to cast though.

I have c-rigged a 10" Zoom Ole Monster with a 4/0 EWG hook and caught many a bass with that set-up.

I like a 10" Berkley power worm, and I use a 4/0 hook. I usually T-rig them with a 1/8 oz bullet weight, unless the weed grow is dense than I will use a heavier weight.

I love the 10.5" Mightee Worm you are right about the casting

For the 2 I use, Anancondas or Monsters I usually use a 5/0.

The Mightee worm is a copy of the Xcite Maximus which is a superior bait, the Maximus actually floats and will catch more fish. I'm not saying the Mightee worm won't catch fish, but I've tried both and feel the Maximus is better.

not to hijack this thread but I keep seeing people say 4/0 for 10-12, when I asked this site when I joined, I believe it was; they said 3-4/0 was ok for the 7-.7.5'' in worms and 5-6/0 was good for 10-12. I have been Triging my 7s with 4/0s since last summer, could that be a reason I miss a few usually. is the 4/0 affecting the action of the worm.

Zoom mag 2 on a 5/0 with 3/16 t rigged pitch to docks behind a jig and trolled.

I like the Netbait 12 in. and there 15 in. C-Mac worms. This is the time to be fishing them on deep wewedlines.

not to hijack this thread but I keep seeing people say 4/0 for 10-12, when I asked this site when I joined, I believe it was; they said 3-4/0 was ok for the 7-.7.5'' in worms and 5-6/0 was good for 10-12. I have been Triging my 7s with 4/0s since last summer, could that be a reason I miss a few usually. is the 4/0 affecting the action of the worm.

No. You miss them because, well you just miss them. Too many reasons to list. 4/0 will not hinder the action. In most style of worms the action is in the tail. I use 4/0 for 7" and 5/0 or 6/0 for 10".

I miss them too man. I am a horrible C-rig guy. I don't plan on giving up anytime soon tho ;-)

Also a fan of the Mightee worm. I bought a bunch when they went on sale for $2.47 a pack at the local BPS. I've actually had my best success fishing them weightless with a 7/0 hook on a spinning rod. They cast a mile on this set up and work a little like a giant Senko around docks and shoreline cover.

It depends. Using a trick worm, I went from a 3/0 offset round to a 1/0 and the action was completely different. The 1/0 had much better action and didn't look "fake" in the water as I twitched it. My bites went way up as well. Smaller, lighter hook usually equates to less inhibited action.
