White Bass

Featured Replies

Everytime I go fishing at my one stop, I go over a bridge and I can see I think is a school of white bass. Ive never stopped to try to hook one at that spot but they are there everyday so I might try for one next time. They look like a good size. What should I used from them? Id say there is about 20-30 of them, and they are relatively shallow.

Small twister tail grubs, inline spinners, light spoons, wooly buggers and ESLs on a light flyrod.

This is the first year Ive seen them up at Isle View park, on the bike path. They all look to be at least 12" and bigger.

Are they busting the surface? toss the tiny rebel pop-r at them on a spinning rod. Pretty much any topwater that moves they will take a swipe at, your best hook-ups will come on baits with smaller hooks and dressed trebles. 12"+ fish will take a regular pop-r with ease.
