Berkley Powerbait Shaky Worm

Featured Replies

I have never really been a fan of Berkley soft baits but have recently been impressed with the chigger craw so I picked up a pack of these at BPS to try on a spot remover. I pulled them out the pack when I got home and was pretty impressed with the profile and feel of this bait. It feels like it will have incredible action and has a slightly bulkier profile then a zoom finesse worm. I think I will try it out on a wacky rig also. While I dont plan on throwing out my trick and finesse worms I may just add these to the arsenal. They just look like a fish catching machine. I almost wanted to eat them when I pulled them out the pack....

Whatever you do... DO NOT throw them on a drop shot...

I throw them on a spot remover and smallies and large mouth both like them. I also use the gulp ones with similar sucess.

I love these worms.  They produce for me when nothing else will.  I throw them on a lightweight T-Rig.  1/8 oz sinker, Light Wire Straight Shank hook.

I've used them before with some success.  Berkley isn't my favorite brand but they're not bad.  My big beef with power worms are the color selections but I have been able to find a some really good colors in the shakey worm.

I'm spending the week on Kentucky Lake and have been wearing them out using "Bama Bug" colored Power Shaky Worms on Gambler Giggy Heads. They work great but they don't hold up at all. One worm = one fish.
