Hi all. I am a new member and wanted to introduce myself/ tell you a little about myself. My name is Matt. I am originally from Upstate NY (Go Bills!!) and now live in Springfield VA ( Washington DC). I am 29 years old. I am a long time trout fisherman and now picking up Bass fishing (a frustrated beginner) as that tends to be whats in most of our waterways here. Problem is they are so overfished. I have a fishing buddy and we try to go out at least once a weekend with our new canoe. We have caught some decent ones but like I said we are new to the sport and some of it is greek to me. Hence why I came here! When im not fishing im working (police officer), watching or playing football, or hanging with the wife. Happy to be here!!

Matt, are you one of those guys who wait for 6AM and then give everyone with one or two guys in the car a ticket on the I-95 HOV lanes? Just wondering.

 

We have a lot of guys from NOVA and you will gain a lot of knowledge from them and the rest of us on the board, once the NOVA guys get out of traffic and can go home.

 

Lots of places to fish in Virginia so get the DG&IF 2013 (2014 when it comes out next year) Freshwater Fishing in Virginia booklet and note all of the  locations listed.
