On Boat Clock/weather Station

Featured Replies

Since I started carrying a cell phone about 10 years ago, I no longer wear a watch.  When I am on the water I want to know what time it is and it occurred to me that maybe I could get one of those large square LED things that show the time and also the local weather conditions.

Has anyone done this and do you have any recommendations?  Obviously it needs to be weather resistant.  It needs a large readout for at least the clock.  I'm sure I can find one but as always, it is easier to just ask you guys!

thanks

What type of electronics do you have? Some of the higher end stuff has that available.

Well, obviously, I don't have any high end electronics :)

I have a Humminbird and a lowrance unit.  Each cost about 200 bucks.  Neither has a clock on it.

I think every fish finder I've owned had a clock, save for the Dragonfly.

If they are waterproof try it out. Worst thing is you won't like it and you're out $50

Interesting.  I don't think mine do, but I will re-check.

Even my little H'bird on my kayak has one.
