Spro Bbz Fins

Featured Replies

I've did a good amount of research and still was wondering if anyone had a remedy for replacing the fins on the BBZ. I got the replacement, but don't want to order the two mixtures bill recommends UNLESS i have too. I'd like to go into my local store and find something. Any and all help is appreciated

Im just surprised that i haven't gotten anything on such an active forum. I'll give it sometime...  i know somebody knows on the forum. Im assuming there just not looking here. It was a big problem at the start of the BBZ being mass-produced. The fins would fall off before even catching a fish. Years later I'd figure the problem was fixed, but i guess not.

I heard about this problem. Just use some crazy glue. The BBz is one of my favorite swimbaits next to the MattLures Hardbass. I have not had any problems what so ever with the fins. I have one that has caught around 20-30 bass and went through my leg, caught me two 5+ bass in 2 minutes in between each other. It also caught my friends first swimbait fish. It was over 5lbs too. It's really beat to hell and is still running strong.

I have a few of the Jr's, and it hasn't been an issue.

I just ordered one in wicked perch color. I'll let you know if I have any problems. Probably will be a couple weeks before I even get to fish it though.

There great lures for the $$$ Besides the fins i don't have any complaints except for not making a 10 or 12 inch. When it comes to the hooks though I'd recommend swapping the them out for some better quality. I've lost more fish than landed and most of the ones i lose are the bigger fish. I've only been fishing the bbz for maybe 2 months and already caught a good number of 4s and 3s, but lost 4-6 LMB over 4lb and 1 of them being 6+

Everytime i've lost a big one it's been cause of a headshake.

I probably just got a fluke... Yours will probably be fine especially if you dont have any toothy critters locking onto your baits. Good luck any defiantly post up something here if your fins are a problem

I fish in water wolf (pike) infested waters.  I will report on my "fins" when I get a chance to use it. I also have a few other brands I purchased and will be trying out.

Never had a problem. I've go the BBZ, Shad, and Jrs. I originally bought the BBZ as a Muskie bait, and even then, had zero issue.
