Matching Black/blue Jig With Plum (June Bug) Colors

Featured Replies

In there area I live there are not to many tackle shops with larges selections of baits so often I'll have trouble finding matching trailers for my black/blue jigs. Its always with the black and blue stuff, especially trailers with lots of action.

One thing I've noticed is I've had success matching plum/purple/june bug type colors to my black and blue jigs. Particularlly with swim jigs where I want some action. Just a thought I'd share.

i've had tremendous success with zoom speed craw in june bug, and culprits incredi-craw in plum. Both work well as trailers for all my black/blue jigs

In the spring that is one of my go to baits. A junebug Superhog trailer on a 3/8 blue/black jig is deadly around here.

I read somewhere, where purple is the last color to disappear in dirty water.

I figured purple is close enough to blue anyway. Plus my new favorite swimmer is blue/purple/black. Still havent figured out what specific jig it is. I dont remember when i bought it. Its shaped like a swim jig. Has the normal head with the eyes, but instead of the body of the head kinda rounding like swim jigs do, its got a arkie type bottom of the jig head.
