Dhshejabejidkqmakwaaa we went out for an hour...no bites...EXCEPT my SO caught ANOTHER ONE like yesterday! This time on a wacky rigged watermelon red and green! WTH grrrr lol. This guy measured 19.5" too and the scale said 3#. We still think our scale is way off. Our new digital comes Friday.

That would be interesting though. Would you guys be competing against each other or as a team.... Hmmmmm????

Lol Lou. He said he may get on the board tonight. I don't think he should jinx himself! So my not so awesome day continued after we got lunch and got home to realize I left my pole at the fishing hole! We had five out with us today and only had four in the driveway!!! It's currently my fav pole too. So we go flying back cause there were kids out fishin too. We look and look and look and right at the last minute I found it YAY!!! I tell my SO to keep going down the road bc I would like to see where this water goes and we did this SWEET spot. It's noon and fish are jumping. We only fished for a bit because we still have chores but it is a great spot for the kids and I did catch a fiesty 12".

We assumed there was no team fishing. I've been trying to get him on here. Right now we owe our successes to you all!

Your right gator, there has never been team fishing. However, since Martin says this competition will never end, we have to do things to spice things up in the future.

Gator, your lucky. I would have had a heart attack if I left my favorite setup somewhere. Luckily you found it where you left it. Next time do rod counts before you leave. LOL.

MCS, gave me a new idea for next month. I will include a list of all the participants after the 5 day sign-up period. That way we all know who is in the contest . I have in the past told all of you how many participants we have but never who the participants are. I will include the participants names and what part of the state they are from. That way we have an idea how the different regions in the state is doing. What do you guys/gal  think?

I just wanted to say that we here in Florida don't catch fish we catch goldfish! That dude Mainebass in the North comp posts steroid fish! It's remarkable! This weekend alone he caught about 7 fish over 6lbs it's crazy where are those fish down here? We have WAY more lines in the water but that guy just needs 1 lol.

If I knew fish were like that I would have moved to Maine instead of FL and have lobster dinner every night lol

I just had to share that. And the whole idea of taking our top 15 lengths and theirs is going to be funny when we see Maine's name next to all the top lengths lol

Mainebass has put some very impressive numbers. If we include our top 5 fish of our top 10 group it will compare very closely to his top 5.  He is fishing in a great fishery that's for sure. BTW those fish are not from Maine, they were caught in Vermont.. LOL. Do not jump ship yet AK, our fishing down here has not remotely started to warm up yet. Wait until you see the catches coming up in the next few months.

Lou the people who run the fishery Russ fishes in Alabama must run the one in Vermont as well. Soon enough we will have our very own here in Jacksonville once they complete the BPS. I mean they are aiming for the 4th biggest attraction in FL so I can only imagine

All in do time. When the North is frozen over or too cold to fish, our big girls come out to play.

Also, you saw the video Rad07 put up. Those fish looked awesome too and they came from South FL. Its too bad no one from our immediate group caught those fish but none the less they were caught down here.

Yea I think that's the one where tey were throwing back 4-5lbers that was crazy! They were flipping and pitching if I remember correctly that technique produces some monster fish.

Have you ever flip/pitched from your boat? That's how a lot of the pros I see on TV do it in tournaments, being a bank guy I don't think it's an effective technique for me. I remember seeing a thread about bank flipping and pitching so it can be done I guess

It's getting like that already and it's early lol. But it's not to the point where it's too cold to dis yet but next month I have a feeling it will hit.

I will enjoy seeing the pics you guys are posting when us northerners are all bundled up sinking hot chocolate

Flipping and pitching is an area that I am lacking in. However, after seeing the latest videos of that technique on my own local waters its a technique that I will focus on this upcoming year.

It actually snowed here in Jacksonville few years ago. I was here on vacation from NJ and I was at the Jaguars game and it was snowing. Funny thing was there wasn't snow in NJ! I'm like I left a place where it snows to come to a place where it doesn't what happened lol
