I guess i've never noticed it with Sufix 832, but now that I've switched to PP, I notice my hands/fingers getting much wetter during fishing. Like I said I never noticed this much water with Sufix 832, is that line coated and PP isn't?

 

Is this an issue I should be concerned with. I make sure to dry my reel very well after each trip as not to cause any rust issues.

 

 

I have been using PP for years and I am like you with 832. Never noticed. If that is the case, my reels are dry by the time I get home and I have had 0 issues on my reels.

When suffix 832 came out it was supposed to be the new hot braid because it sinks like flourocarbon. Now you don't hear anyone mention if it sinks or floats. I've used power pro for years and never had rusty reels. Your reels shouldn't rust to begin with.

Most braid is coated with Teflon and it will shed water.

Yes the 832  has a coating. Suffix calls it hydrophobic water-repellent protection.

You mean your line is wet when it comes out of the water??? Just kidding. I use both pp and 832 and never really noticed a difference. No harm to reels or anything like that
