Need Suggestion On Deep Cranking Rod

Featured Replies

I currently have a St. croix Mojo Glass 7'6" MH. I need something a little firmer but still will load up well when you have a fish on. Any suggestions?

Dobyns champion 765cb either glass or graphite depending in your preference. You didn't mention a price range as it is more expensive than your mojo..

Anything under about $225

Another good cranking rod for $200 or less is the powell endurace or max series. The 7'6 are some brute rods, and I also believe they make a 7'11 or even a 8'

That 755cb seems like the one I need. Or a Phenix X13.

Lamiglas SR705R gently used for around $175.

For deep cranking, this is THE BOMB!

Awesome rods but I would look for the 765 for deep cranking.  I have a custom and it is the most fun rod I own.  Awesome deep cranking rod.

The Dobyns 805 RM is specifically designed for DD22, 6xds, and all other DEEP diving crankbaits. The 8ft length allows longggg casts which you need to get the bait to maximum depth, and it's got the power to still get the hooks in there when the fish are that deep. It's an awesome rod!
