Value of discontinued lures?

Featured Replies

Browsing ebay I found RI vixens for $49 and was shocked. I here about the original wiggle warts selling for about the same and it has me wandering about lure values. In my stash I has some original in the package of both of these along with other discontinued baits. Anyone know the going rate for some of these or whatever baits I sure be looking for?

Some of the baits I know I have that seem to be in demand:

RI BLV

WW in the blue label box

TD Dartist

Small size risto raps

Megabass Visions in deadly black

LC Pointer 78sr

Just trying to see what the market is as I have way too much stuff just taking up room in my basement.

And if you say you can never have enough tackle just ask Speedbead about my lure hoarding.

I believe it just depends on who's lurking on ebay at the time. I have seen some fairly common discontinued baits go for $30 and on other days rare stuff will go $12-$18. The bad economy has also played a part recently, with fewer people affording new toys. On discontinued lures, you should easily get 2 to 3X what you paid for it.

Paycheck baits is working though..somebody here tipped me off they are from the same mold..so basically the same bait.

Vixens are hard baits to get a hold of...therefore the value is a little higher.

I'd still like to buy one or two of the RI vixens..just ain't paying over $20 for them...so i probably won't find any in my price range.

Allen, I saw one of those black visions start out over $100 not too long ago.

Don't know if it sold or not, but someone is always willing to buy...
