New Bass Fishing Jig Trailer...Rage Shrimp

Featured Replies

Here you go Jig'a'Maniacs, it don't get any better than this for Small Finesse Jigs like a Strike King Bitsy Bug...

Notice we begin with any choice of Shrimp colors...mine being the Green Pumpkin or a color with a Chartreuse tail. Then you'll see the photo where the Shrimp Tail is scissor cut with or altered to produce the trailer. Notice the center section in the tail is removed along with slight trimming of the back ridge on the Shrimp to reduce bulk.

The last photos are of each color applied to a 3/16 oz Bitsy Bug Jig...This trailer is a high floater which will also help to stand the jig up when it is on the bottom and the length of the trailer can be adjusted according to your preference. With this product, it is necessary to PULL the trailer up completely over the keeper because pushing it up as we do with other trailers doesn't work...Kind of like pulling up your pants 8-) And once it's completely over the keeper, it's there for good :)

As the Shrimp are produced from Elaztech Plastic, they are extremely durable and will last through many more fish than standard Polysol Plastic products. Important to remember to keep your Elaztech Plastics seperated from other soft plastic products as there will be an adverse chemical reaction. Also Spike it and other dips react to it too...just use the Gel scent that is included in the package, BASS love it :(

Here's a couple of the shops that will have them in a week or two..

Big-O/Nate,

i fish the 1/4oz bitsy bug with a baby rage craw (bottom nub torn off) all the time.

is that jig trailer you posted smaller than that? different action?

tell SK we need a 3/16oz bitsy bug with a bigger hook!

The rest of the bait might be a decent drop shot offering.

I thought the same thing :( Haven't tried it yet...

Steve, I said this on Facebook, but I'll say it again.... You killed my secret HAHA. You're allowed to though, I gave you permission :)

I just noticed your cutting part of the tail off too. I run them with that middle part of the tail attached with much success too.

Hey Big-O-

No pictures of 10#+ fish on them yet?

You're slackin buddy. ;D

Are you kidding? This bait is amazing. He probably has pictures from a year ago of a 10lb+ on it. It's a floating, indestructible Baby Craw or Chunk for a smaller jig. One of these rigs could last all year. That post right there is a gift!

For those of us you who are familiar with the size of the Baby Rage Craw...here is a Size Comparison with the Rage Shrimp Trailer.

BTW, I haven't beat 10 lbs as of yet with this small set up but I got a 9.60 on it this Spring. Sure I could've beat it...but the big jig and Lobster keeps getting in the way

Hope that helps

I put a couple of shrimp on some tiny jigs when I got them but haven't tried it out yet.  I left the center part of the tail intact, but now that I've removed it I think I like it better.  Thanks for posting this Big-O.  I can't wait to try out this little jig.
