Suck on this Gambler!   P.S. On a t-rigged 6" green zoom lizard, 3/16 bullet weight, 3/0 EWG hook, 50# green braid. Dropped across a canal into some cover, let it dropped, and before it hit the bot

  • I'm in and I will start us off. Got this 19.5", girth was about 11" this morning(sorry about the crappy pic, tape got twisted) on a Texas rigged redshad green flake 7" gambler ribbon tail with a 5/0

  • Color Change: My color choice is determined by how bright it is outside along with the clarify of water. Clear skys and clear water I'll go with a natural color like black/brown/white or black/green/y

Maybe LMG will grace us this month with his new Tatula. Ever since he got that reel, he has been AWOL.

Omg had I recorded my "smalls" I would have went up three or four spots!

Gator, same here, I was going to post up 5 but stopped at three.  Had a couple 17's and another 18 to put up but I know 100 inches is the minimum to win here.

I'm still such a newb my aspirations are to break the top ten roflmao!

You seem to be doing good, my fishing partner has been going with me to Lake O, everglades, crooked lake, etc and he has yet to break the 5 pound barrier.  Going on almost four years for him now, he could have broke it if he wasn't trying to reel them in like a freaking mad man when he hooked them haha!

Count me in for December! Here's to my new spot and a little better luck :)

I am experiencing the same thing. LOL. This will be our 4th season together and my fishing partner gets so excited when he hooks into a nice one that he unconsciously horses the fish. i have to literally scream at him to calm down so that we can land the darn thing without losing it. LOL...

Im glad the weather has changed because Im back to catching good #s. Bunch of 3+#s this weekend in with the normal mix of normal to dinks.

Sorry, Im late to the results, but it has been a busy week for me.

The lures that took the better fish for the month have been frogs and fluke/swim style baits.

MCS caught his biggest that I have of 19.5 on a red shad green flake Gambler worm

AK had 21 on a black frog

Dsidle had 21 on a Lusiana Craw Ribbit frog

Lou had 19.5 on a Booyah frog in Brown

FSTR with a 20.5 on a pearl Gambler EZ

Mutt had a bunch in the 18-21 range using a white fluke, and some 17-21 on a Sexy Dawg

Lunkmaster with 17-19 on senkos

It was probably a bad month to start doing the trial of lure recording, but it did bring me to an idea of a challenge style to make things a little more interesting. I will not tell you what it is going to be, but I will tell you that it may get you to fish things that normally you wouldn't, and will interesting to see what you guys get out of it.

Sounds good, I think I have an idea of what your thinking.

  • 2 weeks later...

This seems like the place to share this sort of thing, so here goes.

My friend and I went out to Lake Kissimmee for a bit of 'fun' fishing - I.e. not pre-fishing or tournament fishing... He and I managed to catch a few despite the crappy weather conditions.

I've got pictures of our biggest fish in my blog entry (~10lbs): Fun Fishing on Lake Kissimmee with my Friend, Dave

:checkitout:

I've got some video of the fish that I need to update that entry with... I hope to have it in there tonight, so check back in a day or so.

Nice write up and awesome fish

Thanks, MCS! Glad you enjoyed it!

I finally added the video: Video of the Big Kissimmee Bass

Shortly after we released her I realized that I could have measured her for the Florida TrophyCatch program, although I didn't have a tape type measure in the boat to get her girth measurements with... I will need to put some tailor's measuring tape in the boat for future lunkers, I guess.

Anyhow, it is fairly clear that this bass is in the upper end of the spectrum, approaching or at 10lbs. I hope you guys enjoy the video. Please leave any comments you might have on the blog, as our sponsors like that sort of thing.

  :thumbsup3:
