    That's what I was trying to ask. If you can get a nice house brand reel for the same price as a name brand reel, which would you choose. I don't think a lot of people understood what I was asking.

    I wouldn't hesitate to buy some of the more popular house brand stuff like the BPS cranking stick, or Pro Qualifier reels if they were on sale, but at full retail, I would probably go "name brand" 99% of the time.
