Off Season Storage

Featured Replies

With the year winding down for some of us I usually take all of my stuff to my basement and have my own little table that I use to tinker with my stuff year round. My question is what type of organizing tools or techniques does everyone us to stay organized a little, because that seems to be a problem for me haha! I have the peg boards from some department stores that hold some packs up on the wall but what else might you recommend??

Thanks

I'm not sure I have an answer, but here's what I do.  I have all of my soft plastics sorted by type in a zip lock bag.  I then store the bags in a tube.  All of my crankbaits, jigs, topwaters I have in plastic boxes.

I know I keep trying to think of different things to do but easier said than done!! I just try to keep everything separated that I need to fix or tune without it getting to messy.

For small parts you can use regular Plano boxes, 3600 or 3700 sizes work fine. If you spray paint the underside of them white or some other light color it makes tiny screws and parts easier to spot also.

I organize the jigs by weight and color.  The plastics I organize by type, deep diver, top water, shallow runner, etc.  I also make sure that the boxes are labeled clearly, and each bait is in its correct box.  Yes I am a little anal.

Off season? What off season?

I have a section of my workshop where I nail lids to some mayonnaise jars (love mayo  :eyebrows: ) to the rafter, screw in the jars, and I can see everything small parts wise. Haven't tried binders for my plastics, but this year I will.
