Orra Reels

Featured Replies

I've never used the casting reels, but the orra s spinning is a great reel.

No clue about the BC's but the spinning reels are very good for the price.

I own 3 OrraS Reels.  Two 30 size and one 20 size.  I love them.

For the price you can't beat it.  I use one on a MH and have caught numerous good Pike on it.  Drag holds up very well.  The other is on a drop shot rod and my last one is on a M rod which I use for all other finesse stuff (namely my mojo rig).

You cannot go wrong with them IMO.

I had 2 of the baitcaster and they were nice reels. The new ones are mag brake while the previous model was centrifugal so pick your poision there. I found mine as close to brand new as you can get on the auction site for about half price.

I forgot to mention that I have 2 of the older Orra SX reels which I bought at the Grand Opening of the BassPro nearby.  I tried them twice and so far they seem good too.  They are a definite upgrade from my Silver Max's.  Could tell in just a handful of casts.

I got one of these reels at the end of the summer form Bass Pro and I would definitely recommend it. It is pretty light weight, cast a mile, and is extremely smooth

I have an Orra spinning reel and a baitcast, I am not proficient with the baitcast so I don't use it. I love my spinning reel though it's smooth and can handle the big girls

I don't have an Orra but I have 5 Abu sorons in various sizes, been excellent performers, I've had them a number of years.  IMO a reel cannot be evaluated until it's been heavily used over a lengthy period of time in all weather conditions.

BassPro has them on sale today for cyber monday......just saying.....good time to save $30 if you are gonna buy it anyway.

just be careful here to make sure you know what you're getting. the one that BPS has as a cyber monday deal is the first-generation orra SX, not the newer, lighter second-gen model. personally, i'd just as soon spend the extra $10 and get the pro qualifier which is now on sale for $79.99.

I agree.

The pro qualifier is all I use.
