Nope. They keep pushing the job back furthur. Now it starts middle of January. So I have found better employment down here. I will be building and upgrading power plants and steel mills. Pay is phenomenal and the benefits are the best I've ever seen or heard of. They also present me with the opportunity to work anywhere in the country without taking test and what not. I wish I had done this sooner.

Good pay. They don't need any welders do they. Lol

I love welding but the pay here sucks. 11 hr building barges. Using a 33 lb roll of flux core a day. Yea I think not.

I Keep going back to painting houses. If someone had just told me what an engineer did besides building bridges I'd have stayed in school. Darn that would have been cool.

Whats your job title anyway. I must have missed something.

As of today my new title is Journeyman Wireman Welder. Kinda catchy huh? I just joined the IBEW.

You dang sure weren't lying. My jaw literally dropped when they told me what all it included.

Hope I get as lucky as it sounds like you.

Sounds like you landed well on your feet. I don't know the story, but that's great hear.

Congrats!

I went through a rough patch with employeers recently. I took about a month an a half off work to handle some stuff. Got lined out on three jobs making fat cash. Which were located in the North. All of which got pushed out until January. We learned my wife was pregnant as well during this time frame. Travel stopped appealing to me during this time also. Took a day to replan things and ended up joining the local.

That's the abridged version.

The full length version is much more humorous and intriguing. The ghost of Ebert gave it two gold stars, two thumbs up, and a slack jawed smile.(yup I said it) It has been billed as the hit Working Man Comedy of the year, by the Bass Resource Times. Timothy Hansel atThe Birmingham Tribune says, "It made me laugh, cry, and feel wander. At the life of this intrepid Sparky who only wants to live his life right, fish and hunt, and make an honest wage for his work."
