Megabass Vision 95 Q-Go Suspending Problems.

Featured Replies

I'm at a loss here. I can't get this bait to suspend to save my life. With the stock split rings, it sinks like a rock. I've replaced all 3 split rings from a LC that are super small. It still sinks but really slow. I've got my water tank down to 40 degrees and it still sinks. I've tried it in several different lakes too and it sinks.

Bait is a legit Megabass and has no cranks and is not taking on any water. My only other option is to replace the hooks with #8's but I really don't want to go that small.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

There is a putty you can put on the belly. I can't remember the name. If nobody responds before tomorrow I will look it up or remember it. Never used it myself but have read about it.

Are the stock hooks still on the bait?

Yep.

Contact Megabass and see if they will replace it. If it is a really slow sink with the replcement split rings I would just go ahead & use it. Very sloooow sink is not a bad thing.

Contact Megabass USA. They have sent me 3 new 110s to replace 3 with broken lips that I sent them. I think the woman I contacted was in Mass or Conn, and she had me mail them to Cali.

Was the broken lip your fault or a defect? I only ask because I have lost a few to some docks.

She didnt ask, I didnt tell. It doesnt take much for those lips to break, they are very fragile. They know that, and in this market they are eager to please customers. They sent me brand new in the box replacements, 1 was the same color, the other 2 were different colors than what I sent them, but better colors, in my opinion.

When I mailed out the broken ones, I included a short note detailing who had directed me to send them, I think her name was Megan.

contact them thru the Megabass USA website.

I got ahold of Catherine and she sent me all the info to ship it back. Bad thing is they don't have my color in stock. They are going to replace it with a Pro Blue II. Kinda sucks as I really like the NC Ayu lol.

Thanks. What was the turn around time on it?

Thanks. What was the turn around time on it?

From the time I dropped them in the mailbox until I opened the new ones was about 3 weeks.

I actually have another broken lipper I'm sending back next week.

the lips on these things are like fine china.

Could be off base here, but isn't the composition of water content going to be different at an established body of water vs a tank, and therefore make a bait more or less bouyant in the field? Seems like rotting vegetation, current (higher oxygen), etc. would have to have an effect when your looking for that miniscule range to get a bait to truly suspend.

Not enough that would make the bait sink that fast. I also stated in the original post that I tried several different bodies of water. 3 lakes, one super clear pond and another mud hole
