Name that buzzbait

Featured Replies

No, this isn't a new game show - although it might be.  I picked up a buzz bait from a local tackle shop's bargain bin early this year and have had a lot of success with it, but don't have a clue who makes it.  It has double blades on each side of the head and each set counter rotates.  There are no markings on the blades or the head.  I would like to pick up a few more, but don't know where to look.

Any suggestions?

That's what I was gonna guess, too. Put up a pic, and you'll have your answer in minutes.

No, it's not a booya although it does look like one, but it has two sets of blades on each side of the head (a total of 4 blades).  If I knew how to post pictures I would. For the time being I just have to go with my description. If someone wants to PM me with some instructions on how to post pictures, I will do that.

BTW, thanks for the replies.

Bass Pro Laser Eye Pro Series 4x4 Buzzbaits has 2 buzz blades and 2 clackers, but probably not at your local tackle shop.

Hart Beater?  if thats what it is its a great bait, i like the smallest size of those, makes a lot of commotion but its a compact bait.

We may have a winner!!!  I can't seem to find a picture on their website, but I did e-mail them about it.  It certainly sounds like what I am looking for.  Thanks a bunch.

It's the hartbeater double buzz - lots of commotion on the surface and has been a great producer for me this year - plan to place an order in the next few days.  Thanks for the help.

I own plenty of Hart Beaters (Double Buzzers) and they only have one blade on each side of the head.

Might want to keep the search alive.

One of the "features" listed is a 4 blade combination - I believe this is what I have - I plan to do a little more investigation, but that certainly looks like what I'm searching for.

I believe they mean 4 colors.

I remember a few years back, Hart came out with a Quad buzzbait that did have 2 blades on each arm. They were a smaller size blade that what comes on the Hartbeater though. I have one of those somewhere, I hardly ever throw it.
