Loomis Mbr842 Owners

Looks like it's been discontinued. I am glad that I got mine and hopefully I don't break it. Great light jig and un-weighted Fluke rod.

Yeah - at present there is no direct replacement in the new GLX line.  There is an 842C in the new Mag Bass NRX line but it has a different weight rating than our older GLX 842Cs.

I use my 842 mostly for light t-rigs and I've tossed lipless cranks on it as well. A very versatile rod.

Couple pics of my 842 - the grass carp tried to steal my lipless crank so I had to land the fish to get my lure back...

That is a nice size fish for the 842.

If mine broke, I think that I would try to get them to replace it with the PR844C GLX. I know it's a completely different action but it's the one that I would want.

My MBR842C  is mached with a Core 50MG. This is my favorite rig.

For the most part I use this for swim jigs, soft jerkbaits and small

swimbaits.

I have the Core 100MG on a PR844C. This combination could be used

to fish most treble hook lures. Mine is dedicated to topwater.
