Knipex. Sears sells them. One handed bolt cutters. They are the numer one favorite for musky fisherman.

I don't know what size hooks you're thinking about cutting, but I use a pair of quality side (diagonal) cutters for most of my bassin hooks. About the only hooks they won't cut are spinner/buzzbait hooks and some of the big swimbait hooks.

I have a pair of Kobalt diagonal cutters and they will cut a 4/0 standard wire hook, I got them just for that purpose because I didn't want to lose the ones I have for home use. The bolt cutters are a little overkill is you ask me but there is no question they will cut any hook you have.

X2 I've been in the boat with a 52year old man with a 42" musky hooked to his arm by a 5/0 Treble. Thank goodness we had those cutters. They are a must I have 1 knipix and 1 off brand for backup. Do your self a favor and buy them
