Anyone had a good experience with this/is it worth the time and expense? Thinking about going with a guide this weekend.

Have had some really fun days with the floating fly and it's fund to watch the bobber. But now I use eight# braid with an eight or six pound fluro leader with a 1/16 oz jig and it seems to really work well casted. And this bait will almost suspend when moved slowly.

Had a great weekend on it 1/4-1/5.  It wasn't ideal conditions for the bobber but it was droppin' consistently all weekend.  A fly rod is only about $50, so the expense is worth it to me.  You don't need a G Loomis fly rod to watch a bobber.

I use a 10ft crappie pole with 6# flurocarbon, 1/16oz Punisher brand lure with a 3/4" round cork bobber, talked to a guy from BPS he said a bunch of the employees went to Dale hollow, cast toward the steep drop offs that had ledges, let the lure trickle down the steps of the ledges and did well on the SMB.
