Dave's Tournament Tackle

Featured Replies

Anybody use Dave's Tournament tackle? I saw it at the NC Bass and Saltwater Expo and wanted to buy some stuff but decided not to. I found a place to order them online so if there are good reviews I might put in an order...if you want to see them: http://www.bubbajackstackle.com/

Im looking mainly at the Bullseye and Tiger Shad spinnerbaits....

Dave's has a good reputation in the Richmond, Virginia area.

Nice people.

Have never heard anything negative about them.  :)

Good stuff. I was at the expo as well but it was not my first time seeing the company. I own a bunch of jigs and  jig heads from them. You can get a bunch of their products at Gander Mountain in North Carolina.

Dave has his own tackle shop a few miles away from here. He's a nice guy, and his spinnerbaits and jigs are high quality. You won't have any regrets if you buy some of Dave's lures.

not to mention they have every color skirt color/ combination you can imagine! I dont think he list all his colors on his site bc he had alot more at the expo then what he has listed on his site.

thats what i was thinking....thought i saw a lot more colors at the expo...really kickin myself for not buying a bunch while I was there :)

Dave's operation is here in Guilford Co, NC, and his family runs a tackle store nearby in Jamestown, NC, which carries a good selection of his jigs, spinnerbaits, and plastics - as well as a lot of high end baits like LC, Megabait, Netbait, etc.  One of the better tackle shops around for "specialist bass stuff".

Dave's will be in the Greensboro for the expo this weekend. Jan 22-24. I missed the one in the triangle this year. Was it the same as years past?

I've used Dave's Tourney Tackle for a while now and pretty much use his jigs exclusively.

I was also at the expo and made myself a few new jigs.

Two thumbs up from me  ;D

Yeah I agree with everyone so far.  It is about the best blend of a custom tackle maker and one with the resources to access anything you need.

Try their swim jigs, I have heard a lot of good things about them.

while i was at the expo a guy placed a order for 100+ sexy shad swim jigs! They looked great! They were getting lots of bulk orders!

Ya it was the same as last year...And I got a few swim jigs. Spring Craw, Cole Slaw, and Camo Red in a couple sizes each

Dave Wolak actually referred me to Dave's Tournament Tackle for a few special lures last time I talked to him. He does seem to have a good reputation in the Carolina area.

I know this is an old thread.  But I'm reviving it.

Daves has quie a bit of stuff out that isn't on their website linked above.  For instance, their wacky jigs.

Does anyone know if they have a new website.  'Cuz, I'm not finding it.  Just the old one dated 2006.

Cant help with the website micro, but if you call Stan at greentop he will take care of you. They have a good repoire with them and have hooked me up with some items he didnt stock.

I was just there on Friday and saw some stuff I hadn't seen before and wondered if there was some other stuff, thoo, that they didn't have.

I picked up some weighted weedless wacky hooks.  Built on Gamakatsu hooks they seem as nice as Zappus and Jackalls at a much more reasonable price.

Check out their spinnerbait skirts. They make one that is white on bottom and green/purple mixed on top. Dynamite color.
