Cliff Pace Out Of Classic

Featured Replies

On Friday Cliff Pace sustained injuries when he fell out of his deer stand and he won't be competing in the Classic.

Here is the article http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/classic-cliff-pace-12714.html

I think it is really sad that this happen, Cliff seems like a good guy and it is terrible that he won't be competing. Lets all hope that he gets well soon.

Better check the standings, maybe your the next one if they decide to fill his spot. LOL

At least they moved his automatic qualification (from winning in 2013) to the 2015 Classic.

That's horrible, on the bright side(if there is one) he will have plenty of time with his family and to sit back and do a lot of mental and gear preparation around the house until he can go fishing again.

I'm glad they are letting him fish in the 2015 classic

he also tour his ACL he is gonna have a killer time standing all day on that boat now on

Double break and torn ACL and they think 10-12 weeks? He wont walk again for 9 months at best. I broke my tibia, had a plate installed at 23 and it took me 9 months to walk again. If hes back standing in a bass boat in a year for long periods, it will be a modern day miracle

They said 10 -12 weeks before he could PUT WEIGHT on it

Give credit where credit is due. http://www.bassmaster.com/news/pace-miss-2014-classic Someone should edit the bass resource article and quote the original author.

Word it however you wish. He will have a brace from hip to toe. He will be able to put a little weight on that while in the brace but that knee bending after being locked up is gonna not be fun. It took six months just to make my knee bend one direction then another. Realistically, ill be surprised if he makes the 2015 classic as well. Im gonna go ahead and say he will not fish a single event in the regular season this year either.

Gotta feel bad for the guy that he cannot defend his title, but you gotta believe a guy like him will work extra hard to work hard to win another
