The Right Man..... Randy Howell

Featured Replies

Congrats to Randy Howell..... although my favorite is Edwin Evers, I am glad Randy Howell won.  I got to met him back stage at the Diet Mountain Dew Mississippi River Rumble presented by Power-Pole and he was such a nice guy, I have learned so much about him and all he does for Kings Home, he is a true champion, what he does for them is worth far much more than any Classic win

After watching him today, I agree. What a really nice guy with a great family. True American with values.

Congrats to Randy Howell.  He's a class act.  Did you know the runner up, Paul Mueller is a member of this forum?  He's a great guy himself.

I just found out Paul lives about 25 mins away from me in CT. We don't have many pro anglers in these parts, its cool to have a guy from here. I might have a new favorite pro lol. As for Howell he seems like a cool down to earth guy who was very deserving of the win.

I was moved by his story and all that he does for the kids. He seems like a tremendous person and he doesn't fish too bad either ;)  I was happy for him! Very humble too...Congrats to Randy!

I never heard of Kings Home before watching the classic.  His heartfelt acknowledgement of them in the audience made me choke up.

FWIW - For the price of one DT-6 you can donate to that cause.

Or you can do both ... LOL!   :eyebrows:

Randy Howell is such a great man. Its awesome how he went from 11th to winning the classic with in 30 minutes. Amazing.

I didn't know much about Howell before this tournament but I think I have a new favorite angler. He is very humble and carries himself as a good Christian man. I wish children today had more people in sports like him to look up to. Couldn't think of anyone more deserving of a special day of fishing. Congrats.
