Anyone use this rod?  I am looking for a new Frog Rod and considering this one but don't really know much about it.  It is a Heavy, Ive been using a MH and done pretty well but the rod I am using is so dang heavy!  Also Considering another Veritas, but not sure if I would go Heavy or Medium Heavy.  What do you all think? How is St. Croix customer Service, just in case something happens with the rod?

Honestly you would be better using the Spinnerbait mojo as it is basically a H action but lighter with a softer tip.

I have one. It is really good rod for sorting cattle to take to the sale. It is a beast. If you fished it in HEAVY cover, it would probably be just what you needed. However, in light cover, it is too stiff IMO.

What he said on the St Croix's.........been there done that myself. A H power Croix is a broom stick...............same goes with Abu, I am using a MH Veritas and it's plenty of rod for all but the thickest of mats. I only go up to a H power rod for frogging if all I am going to do is drag and hop one on a super thick mat.

That MH Veritas is what I am leaning toward.  They are light and stiff enough to have some power. Will probably end up getting another.  Not sure about the reel though...

Mine is paired with a Gen3 Revo STX...it's pretty dang nice, and with the dual breaking, I can skip a frog up under a dock like I am using a senko on spinning gear. LOL. That dual breaking is the deal for skipping with casting equipment.

The mojo rod is also very heavy, but it is a tank and can pull just about any fish out of the thickest and nastiest cover you can find, I personally like the heavy action rods for frogging and the longer the better for me, as I dont fish frogs in open water so walking it is not a concern for me. I have the 8' mojo flippin stick that i use for frogs every now and then, and it does the job very well, the wrist gets a little tired after 8 hours with that stick though... I would check out either the vendetta/veritas, or the *** 7'3" H/F...

lews super duty for the reel on mine... the Daiwa lexa also works well for frogs...

if you have to have the slop frog, save money and tie braid to a broom. that is still to gunky even if your fish in a kudzu filled forest . if heavy cover a MH abu rod or if sparse and open a nice 7'2 MH compre and up rod. 

I dont fish the frog in the heaviest cover.  Not many pads and not too much slop.  Most of it is around weeds and overhanging trees so I dont think a Heavy action rod is a necessity. 

I have one of these rods and love it a lot , an as paired it with a Lew's Super duty casting reel 7.1:1 for frogging , I used to have a pflueger summit wlp casting reel on it but just changed my setup this year a lot of people will say it a heavy combo to me with an all aluminum reel it feel medium heavy rod but not to heavy , I do have a couple of heavy rods that feel heavy but not like my mojo rods , I say get the mojo rods . I trying to upgrade all my rods to them , I do have a Abu vertias as well an it light weight but I used that for all purpose rod .

I think a mh veritas is perfect for your needs. My brother frogs with a veritas/premier combo and has had zero issues getting fish out of cover. I've messed around with it a few times, its a pretty stout rod for a mh.

I use the Legend tourney Spinner Bait (MH/F) and love it.  Light, and feels just right, however, I am new to frogs and not very experienced. Take it with a grain of salt.
