So I usually fish 20-30lb braid for creature or craw in algae base water not a lot of mats just alage on the bottom . I was talk to some co-worker at work , I said I use 20-30lb with a ewg hook but they said I should be using a 50lb test for Texas rig and jig . I tried it today I didn’t like the jump on the lb water . I saw less sensitivity so what the setup you guys use for like an all around soft plastics . I have 2 combo Revo Rocket 10.1:1 , 7ft mH casting rod and the other Revo sx 7.3:1 with 7ft MH casting rod . Both had 20-30lb braid but want some guidance . I don’t mind using braid , fluoro or mono but just need help .

You can get anything that probably $69 -$79 reel , plus rod we do have graphite series but I suggest from fishing a rod for 8 plus year get a berkley Lightning shock spinning rod $50 . I have the Abu Garcia Revo Beast old model casting reel was wondering what would you guys use this for I had it on a frog rod st Croix mojo bass slip and frog heavy 7ft rod but use it for a season and my arm was killing . Wondering would you guys use it for that or other techniques please give input .

So I bought a Daiwa Viento from eBay 2 months back was using in beds for bass fishing other then that don’t know what else I can use it for ?

I have a question. Which line is better I usually fish spiderwire braid I been using it since I was 18 yrs old an I’m 29 now I loved stealth braid but I recent went to spiderwire smooth braid loved it until I had unexpected break off . So I asked my friends and they said go to powerpro and sufix832 lines . A lot say that spiderwire isn’t a professional braid but I love this stuff so what your ideas on these braid ?

I been using two combo lately abu revo sx 6.4:1 , 6’6ft m berkley lightning shock cast rod , 15lb big game 1/4oz lipless abu revo sx 7.1:1 7ft m abu vendetta cast rod , 12lb big game . There my forum I started too

So I’ve been look everywhere and can find any place that recycle soft plastic baits I don’t have the time to melt my own but does anyone know a company that will melt for me or you can take them and recycle them ?

So I have the old model of abu garcia vendetta , veritas and veracity casting rod with the metal screw down reel seat hood holder . My issue when I set the hook on 2-3 lb bass the reel feels like the reel is being lifted off the reel seat but the metal hood is tighten down all the way . The I tried heat shrink tubing and I see have the problem has anyone else had this and if so what your problem solver . I did contact abu garcia but they want me to send it in . When I know they not broken it it just probably and easy fix .

What type of line , rod length and action and reel gear ratio would you use to caught largemouth bass . Me and my buddy were taking and we have different combo but wondering what you guys use right now I'm using a 7ft med abu garcia vendetta casting rod , 7.1:1 gear ratio casting reel with 12lb seaguar invizx fluorocarbon n my buddy using same rod n reel but 50lb sufix 832 braid . So what are you guys using and why what the best line fluorocarbon ,braid or monofilament and what pound trst n brand . I'm open to any opinions

I just started fishing jerkbaits this winter I used a spinning combo 6'6ft berkley lightning shock spinning rod med, Pflueger president xt spinning reel (5.2:1) , with 8 lb fluorocarbon plus lures was rapala husky jerkbait . But I heard a lot of ppl use it on casting combo what your guys combo and Amy tips you can give me .

Delaware valley tackle , I notice that maybe the counter weight was supposed to be in the reel but it's missing . In both ill probably just trade them .

My one friend was giving away some bps stampede spinning reels for free I picked them up thinking they were fine .Until I got home and reel them they started wobbling reel bad one a regular spinning reel with front drag and the other Rear drag . Anyone have this problem it the red ones noth the newer ones . I contact bps they say to send them in but I look up the prices and they kinda high. So wondering is the a part I'm missing or just Junk them ?

I have one of these rods and love it a lot , an as paired it with a Lew's Super duty casting reel 7.1:1 for frogging , I used to have a pflueger summit wlp casting reel on it but just changed my setup this year a lot of people will say it a heavy combo to me with an all aluminum reel it feel medium heavy rod but not to heavy , I do have a couple of heavy rods that feel heavy but not like my mojo rods , I say get the mojo rods . I trying to upgrade all my rods to them , I do have a Abu vertias as well an it light weight but I used that for all purpose rod .

Just wondering how do you guys ship fishing rods also where do you guys get the rod tube from I found one website and it only ships 15 qty instead all I really need is 5 qty and really don't want to pay $50 dollars for 10 rod tube I not going to use . So that where my question starts how or where do you obtain your rod tube packages ? I'm trying to sell them.

I have two casting rod , they are 7'6 ft BPS xtreme casting rod MH and 7'6 ft H Berkley lightning shock rod . I was going to use the BPS one for a pitching combo for jigs and soft plastic baits , and Lightning shock for punching but is there another techniques you can use for these rod types ? Also I'm kind of struggling on what type of reels to get for these combos . I was think of an Abu Garcia revo s or lews super duty casting reel . I'm just looking for some input on your combos or just some advice ?

Almost all my spinning reels are Pflueger I have the supreme mgx , supreme xt (gold version), president xt , purist , trion , and I have some Abu Garcia cardinal 402 and orra s spinning reel . Pflueger or Abu Garcia you can't go wrong with I'm think of getting the Revo Sx and Supreme XT spinning soon . I fished with Pflueger reel for about 3 years now , and had no issues with them . All are in the 35 size except my trion spinning reel it a 30 size for panfish combo and supreme xt a 40size , my orra s spinning reel a 30 size .

I saw the orra sx winch combo at Gander Mtn yesterday , but I went to BPS the day before and felt the Revo winch . All I have to say is that they are not the same , I would step it up an go with the revo winch if you have the money amazon usually has them on sale . I just bought one last night , can't wait for it to get here . $165.53 price + shipping ( $5.49) = $171.02 gift card for $11.08 = $159.94 . They Orra sx and Orra sx Winch felt pretty good but if you want eva knobs go with Revo , the orra winch had big oversize original knobs that I didn't like but the Revo winch knob felt pretty good. But that my opinion .

I know what you are say grip, it tends to happen . I guess I have to run everything by spell check for some people to understand things more better but half of the people understood what I was talking about it . So that what really matter to me , it just that some people don't understand abbreviated words . Well I guess I have to not do that anymore because people don't get it .

Thank for the input and I was unsure which forum to put it in . The pinnacle reel were worth $60 each and the did a get job catching some nice bass for me. I just looking to upgrade on the reels and get some different ones . Also so what if I am in college . There's no age limit on here anyways . I have a great job that pays me well so I can get all this stuff . I just look for some ideas to sell my reels and gear . Just want some input on how I should price them n sell them. I do have some higher price reels like abu Garcia revos n lews also pflueger but just have some reels that I use once in awhile while practicing for local tournaments.
