I wanted to know what line would i use for flipping and punching into heavy cover i have a 7" shakespeare baitcasting rod that i use for flipping but i wanted to know if i can use it for frogs and punching baits in heavy cover but i do uses braid but like 17lb though but do i need to use 65lb ? I am just worried if i use the 65lb line the rod might snap in half or will it? I need help

I was wondering what the best garlic attractant last the longer on bait . I want to use the garlic scent on Lake fork tackle baits if this helps . I tried look for the lake fork tackle brand scent but no luck so what good garlic scent would you use for this bait ?

I was just wondering for flipping hooks what can you use for this ? I have seen the youvella hooks an order some but I was looking at the rebarb roboworm ones and the punch paycheck ones . so my question is can you like make up your own flipping hook with a barb like buy the Heat-Shrink Tubing and a flipping hook and make one like that ? I was fishing and my rod tip broke i found a picture online that looks like the problem i saw that the picture i got had a article say if Using some superglue and fishing line, I repaired the rod as best I could. how do u fix this problem ?

the fishing rod was a christmas present last 2 yrs ago it was a great rod i like it but i guess it wasn't good for the large weight .

the cost i want to spend $ 60 - 70 I kinda need 2 spinning rod broken one rod last weekend too .

I kinda guess the weight it felt like a 15 lb bass and the rod i used was a gander mtn brand called guide series competitor graphite 6'0 medium action spinning rod and theline was the new trilene 15Lb test( moss green ) fireline braid and the bait I used was the Rage Tail strike king Rage Lobster ( double header ) color and it was rigged texas rig . So thank for the comments trying to get better stuff to catch these and the pics are the same but different lighting .

the yum baits you found at walmart i saw them there to the shad with the flat tail is called a Houdini Shad it not a prototype bait it just a regular bait the brand is riverside but has yum attractant on it so it kinda like a yum bait but in a different package and less bait in it with a lesser price.

Ok i found this on a website of take me fishing information booklet MINNOWS How you hook live minnows depends upon how you are going to fish them. If you are fishing a minnow to troll (drag the bait) or repeatedly cast and retrieve it, hook the minnow through the upper and lower lips with the hook point up so that the minnow will "swim" naturally. You can use this same method for hooked minnows fished from a single- or two-hook rig or from a float and sinker combination. A better method for float-and-sinker fishing is to hook the minnow through the back, but avoid the spine so as to not paralyze the baitfish. This allows more natural baitfish movement. For fishing a minnow that you allow to free swim without a weight or float, hook it through the tail so that it can swim naturally to attract game fish.

Ok I haven't try the drop shot it but I shakey head jig it the tail of the gulp and powerbait shaky worm does let the worm float upward so I don't really know if it will do the same for a drop shot .
