A smallie beaver style bait has been my #1 pitchin bait for the last two years. I use the RI and discontinued Case sweet peas but bought some Netbait ones to try.

Today I am getting tackle ready and in my go-to spares tub I counted 76 packs of these baits. This does not count the ones that are already in the boat bag just the backup spares. As you can see by the quantity I use these baits all the time and they work everywhere. For some reason the smaller baits have caught more and bigger fish so I rarely use the regular size ones.

My favorite is the Missile Baits D Bomb. Other good ones are the Berkley Havoc Pit Boss and the Reaction Innovations Sweet Beavers.

On occasion I'll use an Ugly Otter.

I tend to use the Rodents the most though. Love those things, especially the smaller version. I use them t-rigged or as jig trailers. Can't go wrong with a beaver style bait.
