I am currently in the market for a new reasonably priced bait casting reel, I've narrowed it down to three. The Abu Garcia Silver Max, the Daiwa Laguna, and a Bass Pro Shops Tournament Nitro Z. If anyone has any insight on these reels it would be greatly appreciated

I would get the pro qualifier with the reel trade in which puts it at $65. I did that today.

I'd opt for a previous model Daiwa Exceler. Far better reel than the Laguna and it's cheaper right now.

I agree, well worth an extra $30-$40.

I agree with the daiwa exceler but the previous model with the mag-z breaks is what i would get... the new one isnt bad, just not as good, except a better handle and knobs...
