Do-It Screw-Loc Trokar Football Head Mold

Does anyone have this mold that can tell me if it really only takes the Trokar TK815s? I know it says that it only takes that hook but I have other molds that supposedly only take one or two hooks that will take others. Looking at possibly getting a screw lock football head and I like the Trokar version better, but I can't spend $35 for 50 hooks.

Bluebasser,

I have a lot of Do-It molds, however I do not have this one. The reason I didn't buy this is because I was told, that only the Trokar hook will fit in that mold. If you look at that hook it has a very distinctive curve to it and I have never seen another hook that resembles that Trokar. However I cannot confirm this. If you do buy it please post your results as I'm interested to know for sure.

I found a picture of one of the mold plates, there is no way any other hook is going to fit that mold :(

Bet it would after a couple of minutes with a dremmel....

Bluebasser,

I am going to totally agree with you on this. Also I went on Barlow's site, and they always list alternate hooks that would fit, if any, and I didn't see any other hooks listed.

I was going to post a picture of the mold from the TW site, but it doesn't seem to be allowed. You would just need to make the channel for the hook shank straight. It may end up running through the coil spring area of the next sized jig, so you couldn't pour two jigs next to each other each time, but it would be easy enough to adapt the mold for many different 30 degree hooks.

Can you take the pic from the site mark it up and then post it as a JPEG. I'm interested on how this would look?
