im going to buy some flick shaking heads and worms to add a new finnesse technique to my arsenal, what do you guys think is the best head, there are tons out there, and is the original flick shake worm the best? which worms work best?

I like the Owner shakey head and I use Jackall flickshake worms. Try the bluegill Jackall, bass can't resist them.

Yep the only problem is their durability. Has that improved? I have not purchased any in well over a year.

How is the action and durability of the BPS flick shake knock-offs, the Flickn Shimmy? I like the technique but using the Jackall worms can get expensive in a hurry because they're so thin and tear easily.

Simple...zappu wacky head jig.

I like Zappu heads in light to moderate cover.  The straight line tie gets through better without picking up weeds.  Otherwise, either Jackall heads or Keitech heads work very well.  The Keitechs have a bait holder, so they're a little less singular in purpose.

I used the Buckeye Flick-it's but they are too expensive. A buddy and I are making our own this year.

I prefer both the Jackall worm & jighead, usually 1/16 oz.

I prefer the Jackall products as well. I've only tried the Buckeye jighead, but I hate the weedguard on it! I've caught fish on it but it seems that the weedguard is just absolutely horrible after catching 1 fish. The Jackall worms do get expensive but with all the fish I  have caught on them, I really don't mind paying that much for them. I can't seem to get other worms to work on a flick shake!

I've been using the Buckeye Flick-It for all of my wacky worm fishing and so far so good. Have not caught a ton on them yet but they seem like they will be very good. I use trick and finesse worms on them mostly.

The Bass Pro version has a little larger diameter and they are more durable.  I usually use the Bass Pro line except for one particular Jackall color that BPS doesn't make.  TRY THIS:  Take the Jackall version and go to Lowes and buy some black shrink wrap large enough to fit over the worm.  Cut a piece roughly the size of the "knot" on the worm and melt a piece of shrink wrap over that knot.  It keeps it on the hook better and doesn't change the action at all.  PS. In a bind, electrical tape works as well.

I personally like the Jackall heads the most.  I've got several Tru-tungsten flick shake heads in my box also.  They aren't bad, just not fantastic.  The Buckeyes are pretty good as well.

As far as Powerman's suggestion about the shrink wrap, I do it on pretty much anything that I'm going to be wacky rigging.  It's a great method to really prolong the life of any plastic.

fist of all the technique is called a Kaiser Rig. the flick shake worm is a name of a worm from Jackel in japan where the technique has been used for years after it was brought over from Korea.It's not a technique. The creator of the "Original" worm is Jeon Wu Yong and was made by Damiki it is called the Water Crawler and is not sold in the states. How ever can some times be found on ebay
