It wasn't me fellas. Although I wish it was!  Missed the state record by a pound.  Broken Bow lake is a super clear, spring fed lake.  I imagine it was a jerkbait. I'll look into is some more and let you know what I find out.

Nice fish

Oklahoma is clearly m-u-c-h farther south than I previously thought! ie no ice!

Ice occasionally.  The area where last years BASS Classic was launched out of, was iced over.  It is rare any of our lakes ice at all.  Ponds or smaller bodies of water will ice over more often.  Even then, not so much.  The last couple of years has been the difference.  We've had some record lows in the single digits.  We had a few days it was 0, which is very rare.

Absolutely beautiful fish!

I've seen a lot of nice teener bass coming from Oklahoma over the past few years. good looking fish there.

Sounds like a perfect lake to take some swimbait tactics and fish the big baits if anyone isn't doing it already.  Maybe a 10" Triple Trout or a Huddleston. I'm sure if you put a few days on Broken Arrow since it's a clear lake you would probably see quite a few big fish.  Just a suggestion from the West Coast.

I'd be bank fishing! lol  I have been down to the lake once.  It is about a 3 and a half hour drive for me.  That part of Oklahoma does not look like the rest of Oklahoma!  It is a very scenic part of the state.

Broken Bow lake is pretty far south, nearly Texas.  I have never been down there but I would like to go sometime, maybe late spring or early fall.  Hopefully we will be able to de-winterize the boat and hit Ft Gibson lake in the next week or so.
