Tungsten Bullet Weight Vs Flipping Weight

Featured Replies

What is the difference between and Tungsten bullet weight and a Tungsten Flipping weight?

Is one more favorable for pegging?

Same difference

Pegging depends on what you like. I tend to peg if I am pitching into extremely dense vegetation with a very heavy weight(1oz) to help prevent getting wrapped up. I would say your pitching weight would be heavier then your standard bullet but they are pretty much the same. Some companies the bottom of the pitching weight comes back in toward the line looks almost like a tear drop type of thing. Kind of hard to describe. And a bullet weight is always shaped like a bullet.

there isnt much difference. The flipping weights are designed to slip into water more efficiently than bullet weights. Bullet weights are a bit off balance on the flip and can splash more.

The Bullet has a smaller line hole then the flipping weight. The flipping weight is also a little shorter and fatter then the bullet.

The flippin' weights are fatter to match the baits usually thrown on them and provide a more life like presentation. Also, they are designed to slip through cover easier and to help allow your bait to do the same.
